Riu riu chiu 03:23

Schlaf, schlaf, holdseliges Jesulein Schlaf, schlaf, holdseliges Jesulein, schlaf, schlaf du himmlisches Kind.

about

Since childhood I just love singing Christmas songs. For many years I have been searching for new songs from all over the world and several historical periods. Some of them have a special, very personal flavour. This time I recorded the Christmas pack all by myself and my plan is to release from 5 to 8 tracks every year to make your seasons' playlist more interesting - hopefully.

This bunch of songs got its name from a piece which strictly is not a Christmas song. Stella splendens in monte talks about the appearance of the Virgin Mary on Mount Serrato, where later the abbey of Montserrat was built. Legend has it that a bright star guided the pilgrims to the abbey - as well as a bright star guided the shepherds to the manger where Jesus laid. For me, the song always sounded like Christmas, so I not only included it but let it name the whole production.
